Henley Beach

About the Beach

Henley Beach is Adelaide's go-to family spot. The iconic jetty stretches out over the Gulf and gives you one of the city's best sunset views. Head down at dusk and you'll know why locals keep coming back. It's also a prime fishing spot, so grab a rod if you're keen.

Behind Henley Square you'll find cafes, parking, and clean toilets. Everything you need within easy reach. The water's generally calm and good for swimming, making it a solid choice for families and confident swimmers alike. Just watch for gutters and littoral currents when you're in the water, and shallow sandbars will trip you up if you're not careful. After heavy rain, stormwater runoff hits water quality, so check conditions before you swim.

Henley SLSC patrols from October to April. Weekends get busy but the beach handles the crowds well. Locals keep coming back for a reason, and you will too.

Tomorrow's Forecast
