Beach Day is built around the idea that a great beach day is about more than just the weather. That's why every beach page includes local tips from people who know the spot, what events are happening nearby, how to get there, and what facilities are available.

Our real-time scoring takes conditions into account, including wind, swell, tides, UV, and temperature, and combines them with each beach's unique characteristics like orientation, break type, and shelter. Swimming mode favours calm, protected conditions. Surfing mode favours offshore winds and consistent swell. Scores update throughout the day as conditions change.

Beach Day started from a simple frustration: checking five different apps before heading to the beach. Living on Australia's coast, piecing together wind forecasts, swell charts, and tide tables every weekend became the motivation to build something better.
